Entry-Level Job Opportunities at PWADC:
As a full-time Order Selector you’ll work the second shift, starting at 2:00pm or 3:00pm, until 11:30pm or later, if necessary. Your work schedule will be Sunday night through Friday night, with one of those 6 days off. (We don’t work on Saturday night.) You’ll drive an electric pallet jack and manually pull cases of product off the shelf to stack a pallet which you’ll deliver to the dock to be loaded onto a delivery truck. You’ll need to be able to repeatedly lift and move items weighing as much as 50 pounds. The warehouse environment will be hot or cold, depending on where you’re assigned to work.
Starting pay is $19.00/hr. and time-and-a-half overtime is often available. After 90 days of successful employment you’ll be eligible for an increase to $22.39/hr. As you gain seniority, you’ll have the opportunity to move to other warehouse jobs.

CDL Truck Driver Job Opportunities at PWADC
Piggly-Wiggly CDL truck drivers operate full day cab semi-trucks loading product in Bessemer and delivering to supermarkets in Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida and Georgia. While there are no loading responsibilities, our drivers do assist as needed in unloading at stores. You’d make multiple store deliveries and pick up some backhauls. Some routes involve overnight layovers for which the company pays for the hotel and provides a meal allowance. We drive well-maintained Volvo tractors that are no more than 3 years old.
New drivers work a 100% on-call schedule, which means you’ll need to be available to work any of the 6 workdays each week. (We don’t deliver on Sunday)
Starting pay is $24.00/hr. After you gain seniority, you can move to what we call a Mileage Driver where you will bid routes, have a more defined schedule and be paid by the mile.
